The history of the Indian saree goes back more than 1000 years. And still women like to wear these clothes, and not just in India - sarees are becoming popular all over the world. Many lovers of Eastern culture dream of having these clothes in their wardrobe. But you have to know how to wear it.

Instructions

  1. At first glance, it seems that all sarees are the same. In fact, there are many varieties of sari. Every state in India has its own way of producing national clothes.

  2. Sari is a piece of cloth from 4 to 12 meters and a width of about one meter. The fabric for this outfit is chosen very differently, it all depends on your income. Under the sari, Indian women donned a straight skirt, a few inches shorter than the outfit itself. For a skirt, it is better to choose a dense fabric with a drawstring or ribbon at the waist so that it holds and does not slip under the weight of the saree. Usually the skirt should not differ in color from the fabric. The less noticeable, the better. In addition, you need a blouse - choli. She sews special patterns. But a fixed subject is also suitable, which can be both short and long sleeves. Explore designer women sarees for every occasion.

  3. One of the most popular ways to drape a saree is called nivi. Take one end of the saree and gently tuck the fabric into the skirt, starting on the right side. So describe the full circle. In this case, the length of the saree should be all the way to the floor.

  4. Next you need to make folds. They are necessary so that you can move freely. Normally the folds should be a minimum of five, but this can be more depending on the length of the fabric.

  5. After the folds are draped, cover the back with the remaining end of the fabric and then the chest. The remaining free edge, called the pale, is thrown over the left shoulder. If you did everything right, the catch should be longer than your elbow. Otherwise, you can always adjust the length by increasing or decreasing the number of folds and their depth. To ensure that the pallus does not fall off your shoulders, you can pin it to the blouse with a nice pin.

  6. Other ways of wearing a saree differ only in the presence and location of the pleats, as well as the way the free end is thrown - from the back to the chest or over the right shoulder.
